Well here you are, you have come along way and now as the Registered Manager, you will ensure young people receive excellent levels of emotional and physical care, within a home that offers a safe, nurturing and comfortable environment with a staff team that is supportive and enabling, providing opportunities and experiences to instil positive values and reaffirm the importance of children enjoying a childhood.

You will have overall responsibility for the management and leadership of the children’s home as the registered manager in charge, promoting high standards of care in line with our regulatory bodies. We will ensure you have quality continued professional development which will include have the opportunity to attend seminars and providers meetings where possible.

You will work closely with five colleagues in your hub as well as having support and communication with other hubs across the country and will hopefully feel part of a large organisation whilst keeping your homes individuality

Again this deputy role came with more responsibility which included completing on-call duties, completing the staff rota, attending meetings, and running the home on a day-to-day basis when the manager was away.

After being in the role for a couple of months she was enrolled onto the Diploma 5 in Leadership & Management. Mabel also became a company trainer delivering the positive behaviour support course

As a residential support team leader, Dave took on additional responsibilities. These included attending professionals meetings with the multi-disciplinary team, completing mentoring and supervisions with residential support workers, and overseeing key working responsibilities
