Charity Donations 2024
This year, we are excited to announce our charitable giving plans. We have decided that First Blue Healthcare charity donations in 2024 will be given to a variety of different causes, and we have to say that making the choice wasn’t easy, as there are so many we would like to help.
We have made a few choices so far, and even though it is only the beginning of the year, our teams have already been busy collecting, creating, and sending donations. However, it is not only staff who are involved, we also like to encourage our children and young people to participate where possible, as helping others promotes empathy, compassion, and social responsibility. Plus, charitable giving is a great confidence booster, it helps young people understand that through being kind and considerate they have the ability to make a positive difference.
So what have we done so far?
- Women’s Aid - We have collected lots of unwanted Christmas toiletry gifts from all the homes across the region and are donating them to women’s aid.
- Premature Babies - We are knitting premature baby hats for a local hospital, and one of the staff at our Bellhurst home is teaching the two boys how to knit. Our Director of Care also contributed.
- The Homeless - Next month we are focusing on homelessness and asking people to sort out their wardrobes. The donations of unwanted clothing will be given to a local charity to hand out when they are serving food to local people who are homeless.
